From Discovery to Celebration: IIEX Europe 2025 Recap

What. A. Week. 

IIEX Europe 2025 brought some of the boldest thinkers in our industry to Amsterdam for two packed days of ideas, inspiration, and honest conversations about the future of insights. From AI and behavioral science to segmentation, empathy, and storytelling, it was a full-on energy boost. 

But for me, it wasn’t just a conference. It was a celebration. 

 

Product Hub Turned ONE!

Product Hub by MMR officially turned one and we celebrated like it was… well, our birthday! And let me tell you, it was the kind of milestone that really makes you pause and take it all in. 

We had an incredible birthday moment filled with everything that makes this platform special: 

🎤 A live tech demo where Alex and Simone absolutely nailed it on stage. They brought Product Hub to life with energy, clarity, and so much confidence. Seeing our platform showcased like that was honestly one of my proudest moments. 

🧁 Our booth was buzzing. Conversations, cupcakes, curiosity… and a whole lot of QR scans. It felt like everyone wanted to understand how Product Hub is helping teams test faster and smarter without the compromise. 

💡 I had the pleasure of co-presenting with Emmanuelle Billot from Mars where we talked about how agile insights are fueling innovation. We shared how Product Hub helps bridge the gap between inspiration and decision-making so great ideas don’t get stuck in limbo. The response was incredible. 

🛥️ And of course, we wrapped it up with a boat party through the canals of Amsterdam. Such a surreal, joy-filled moment with teammates, partners, and new friends. It really felt like the perfect way to celebrate a year of hard work and big impact. 

This platform started with a simple belief: that product testing shouldn’t be slow, painful, or locked behind layers of complexity. A year in, we’ve helped some amazing teams unlock new ideas, validate bold ones, and move forward with more confidence. And we’re just getting started.

Innovation Is Slowing. But We’re Not.

One of the opening sessions of the conference dropped a stat that stopped me in my tracks. Only 26% of recent food and drink launches are truly new. Back in 2007, it was closer to 50%. That’s a massive shift. 

Across multiple panels and talks, the conversation kept coming back to this question: Are we playing it too safe? Or are we just missing the tools and confidence to take more chances? 

In our session with Mars, we talked about how discovery doesn’t have to be a slow process or a one-time event. It can be continuous, flexible, and emotionally rich. When teams have better tools and behavioral feedback at their fingertips, they can move faster with more trust in the outcome. 

Innovation isn’t dead. It just needs a better support system.

Storytelling Took Center Stage

One theme I didn’t expect to be so front and center? Storytelling. And not just fluffy brand storytelling, but the kind that helps insights land with real impact. 

Tracey Neis from PepsiCo and Grant Feller talked about the power of tension and emotion in getting stakeholder buy-in. Danone showed how listening with empathy can drive local relevance in global brands. 

Multiple speakers reinforced that how we deliver insight matters just as much as the what. Because numbers alone don’t change minds. But stories do. 

At Product Hub, we talk about this a lot. It’s not just about surfacing the right data—it’s about framing it in a way that builds momentum. That’s where the magic happens.

A Final Word

IIEX Europe 2025 gave us the space to explore what’s next, but also what’s not working anymore. It was energizing. Refreshing. And genuinely exciting to see where the industry is heading. 

Massive love to the Greenbook team for putting on such an incredible event. To the Product Hub crew, you showed up with so much heart, and I’m endlessly proud. And to everyone who stopped by the booth, joined our session, came to the party, or just had a chat in the hallway, thank you. You made it all the more meaningful.
